August is a busy time for harvesting so we’re meeting at the Gather Community Garden for all 4 Sundays.
What will we do? Harvest, water, sow, plus age appropriate jobs and activities for children.
What time? Starting at 11.00am with some work on the garden.
Will there be food? Of course! At approx 12.00 pm we will eat together. We will cook some of our produce, plus share anything that you may like to bring. Different dietary requirements will be catered for.
Anything else? Yes, for those who would like to stay, we will be having a 15 minute talk, plus questions, about Faith, Spirituality and Caring for the Environment at around 12.30pm – On the first Sunday the speaker is: Regina Ebner who works for ecology advocacy agency A Rocha (https://arocha.org.uk/) at Ashburnham Place. We may even bring guitars and sing a song or two.
Do I have to come for the whole morning? No, not at all. You can come to just the first session or either of the second two. You would also be welcome to all three.
What if the weather is rainy? We will use gazebo areas and the boarded polytunnel.
What time will it finish? Approx 1 pm.
We look forward to seeing you over the next several weeks.
